About Mindy Gibbs
I am married with 5 children and many grandchildren.
I started painting at a very young age. I won several state awards and my drawings were displayed at the Missouri State Capitol. I received a scholarship with Juliard to continue my art studies. Instead I got married, had children and went to work at a full time job and I stopped painting. Occasionally I would paint a mural in our house or an occasional painting that I would give as a gift or sell. In 2014 I was diagnosed with COPD. In 2015 I was no longer able to work. After fighting two years to overcome depression and to regain a balance in my life and health I picked up a paint brush again in June 2017.
For me painting is life. I paint daily as part of my physical and mental health work out.
It is my passion. In almost 2 tears I have produced almost 200 works of art. I continue to see progress in my style, confidence and technique.
I am excited to see what the future holds.
My passion continues to grow and it burns brightly!
The more I paint, the more pictures I see in my head, and the more I need to paint!!
I want the world to see the colors I see, to feel the dreams that weave in and out.
